Or simply enjoy a leisurely day walking around the port to experience this thriving New England fishing village with its many shops, seafood restaurants, famous fishing trawlers and sport fishing fleet. Just a block away is Ocean Road which winds right into the heart of the historic Narragansett Pier section of town. Along the way you’ll pass many classic ocean-front “Summer Cottages”; one or two rumored to belong to famous New England-based professional athletes. Remember that there are 7 ocean beaches in Narragansett to explore which, combined with many other local attractions, offer so many possibilities for Summer family fun. If you want to venture out, there’s always historic Newport only 20 minutes away or the famous Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun Casinos are just about one hour away.
